Canines for K-9’s Press Release

PRESS RELEASE

Kevin Atlee, DMD to protect, serve local Police K-9 Units

Online fundraiser aims to donate bullet proof vests for dogs

Moorestown, NJ………”Canines” and “K-9’s” are the same thing. Right? Well, no, not in this case. We’re talking about the canines in your mouth, your teeth, and Police K-9 dogs. Kevin Atlee, DMD of Moorestown, NJ has combined his passion for both Canines and K-9’s by creating the Canines for K-9’s program to raise money for local law enforcement. Through the summer of 2010, the goal is to buy as many K-9 bullet proof vests as possible and protect the four-legged heroes who protect us every day.

The next time you open up and say “Ahh” at the dentist, you could be helping to outfit a police dog. Every time Dr. Atlee works on a patient’s eye teeth (the canine teeth) he contributes $10. Does a trip to the dentist make you growl? There are other ways to join the force: visit the the Canines for K-9’s Facebook Fan Page to view news and updates, make a private donation and purchase a custom-made graphic T-shirt. Generous companies and individuals can even buy whole vests for $650 right from the Facebook page.

Each donated vest helps relieve the financial burden on Police departments and K-9 handlers who often buy equipment with their own money. Proper vests only last a few years, so there is always a need for replacements.

For more information about Canines for K-9’s, please contact Darren Atlee, Coordinator at: 856-234-8686 or [email protected]

“Bundle Me Up” – 2009 Charity Coat Drive

PRESS RELEASE

Enormous Success for Annual “Bundle Me Up” Winter Coat Drive

Kevin Atlee, DMD, collects 575 coats

Moorestown, NJ……….. Over this past holiday season, Kevin Atlee, DMD, Family Dentistry of Moorestown buttoned-up their first-ever charity winter coat drive. “Bundle Me Up” 2009 surpassed all expectations with a final count of 575 much-needed winter coats and jackets. One by one, coat by coat, from parkas to pullovers, the donations poured in from all over South Jersey. Friends, family and patients gladly answered the call to shed their closets and basements of unused coats. A few individuals who heard about “Bundle Me Up” set up their own workplace donation sites and dropped off their piles of coats at Dr. Atlee’s office. One kind woman even hand-knitted 13 pairs of mittens as a donation.

Those who donated were able to track the progress of this event through Dr. Atlee’s weekly blog posts at bundlemeup.blogspot.com. The Military Order of the Purple Heart received over 40 bags of coats which will be distributed to individuals in need in the tri-state area. Dr. Atlee’s staff would like to thank all those who warmly went out of their way to make this event such a huge success. Start setting your coats aside and get warmed up for next year’s drive, because the goal will be much higher.

###

Much of the success of our charity coat drive was because of the generous donations from our friends and family. We sent this email to as many people as we could reach:

Every room in your house has a closet, and every closet has an outgrown or outworn coat waiting for a person to keep warm.

Stop by our office, drop off your unwanted coats, have a cup of coffee and find out why we’re one of South Jersey’s top dental practices. I invite you to come see for yourself why we’re so excited about doing what we do—taking care of you and your family.  Whether you just need a cleaning, have been waiting to “do the works”, or just want a second opinion, give me a call.  You’ll be glad you did.

I know that choosing a health care professional is difficult.  Dentists are no different.  My name is Dr. Kevin Atlee, and I would love to be your dentist.  I grew up in Marlton and now practice right on Main Street in Moorestown.  I am trained and experienced in all phases of dentistry.  From simple fillings and cleanings, to complete smile makeovers and implants.  When people come to me for help, they want ME to help them.  People don’t like to be told “Go see the endodontist for your root canal, the oral surgeon to have your tooth taken out, and the periodontist to get your implant, then give me a call when you’re done.”   My job is to serve your needs.  Now, if we truly need a specialist, I know when to make that call.  And this area is full of great specialists.  But I enjoy so many aspects of dentistry, I pretty much love to do everything.

My staff and I constantly remodel and upgrade the practice with one goal in mind: to increase patient care by making your dental treatment better, more comfortable, and faster using the latest, cutting-edge techniques and technologies.  We’ve tried really hard to bring out the charm of being located in an historic part of town, and at the same time incorporate the very latest technology.  You can’t get more state-of-the-art than what we’ve done.  We pretty much have everything on a dentist’s wish list.  It truly is “Main Street meets the 21st century.”

How does all of this benefit YOU?

One visit computer designed crowns- no messy impression, no temporaries that come off while you’re at dinner, no second visit.

Digital x-rays- 70 %less radiation, images are processed in three seconds, saving time, and are displayed instantaneously on a 19” LCD screen next to your chair.

Smile makeovers using laser gum lifts and amazing Bliss crowns and veneers.

Invisalign- custom, computer designed clear braces for straightening crooked teeth and closing gaps, usually in less than 1 year.

Implant tooth replacement from start to finish, whether you need one tooth replaced or all of them.

Quaint, relaxed, at-home décor with “Main Street” murals painted by well known New Jersey artist James McLaughlin.

Free Wireless WiFi internet access while you wait.

Interest-free financing.

For more information on coat donations, or to schedule an appointment, call 856-234-8686 or visit our website, www.atleedental.com, www.bundlemeup.blogspot.com.

AtleeDental.com, Kevin Atlee, DMD company website

AtleeDental.com is the official website for Kevin Atlee, DMD. We launched this site November, 2009. I was responsible for the layout and content of the site.

Home Page:

If this is your first time here, you’re probably looking for a new dentist. Whether you were told about us, or just Googled a local dentist, thanks for looking us up! We know it can be tough finding a dentist that you and your family are comfortable with. I’d like to tell you a little about who we are and what we think sets us apart from other dental offices.

Explore our site and find out why Kevin Atlee, DMD is by far the best and most relaxing Dental Office in South Jersey.

About Us:

We are a general dental practice, meaning we perform procedures in all areas of dentistry. However, unlike many general offices, we actually do pretty much everything. We refer to specialists when necessary, but try to do as much here in our office as we can. Patients appreciate this immensely. Once you find a dentist you’re comfortable with, you don’t want to hear, “go to this guy for your root canal, this guy for your extraction, this guy for your implant and then see me when you’re done.” Now, if you need a specialist, we work with the best- but most of the time it’s all done right here.

In this day and age of huge “big-box” stores and dental practices, we are the exact opposite of that concept. There’s one dentist here, me – Kevin Atlee, DMD. You’ll see me every time you come in. When you make an appointment twenty years from now, it will still be me here. We know all of our patients, and most of their families too. Our office is set up to not look or feel like a dental office. However, our treatment rooms are absolutely state-of-the-art. I pretty much have everything on every dentist’s wish list.

Our hours include nights and weekends, so we can accommodate anyone’s schedule. Emergencies are always seen the same day you call. Telling you to wait a week when you have a toothache usually isn’t the smartest thing for you…or me!

We try to work as efficiently as possible at completing treatment in a timely fashion. If you need multiple procedures, we try to “bundle” them when possible, so you’re taken care of in, say, two appointments, not five. Using state-of-the-art computer-aided technology, we can fabricate crowns in one visit…not two, which is the norm.

Call to speak with our friendly staff to schedule an appointment. We also invite you to stop by our office, have a cup of coffee and meet us – any time.

Dr. Atlee:

Kevin Atlee, DMD earned his B.S. in Biology for Rutgers University and his Dental Degree from Temple University, where he was part of a small, elite group who actually enjoyed themselves.

He grew up in Marlton, NJ where he now lives with his wife, Emily (who he took to his senior prom), and their triplet boys, Nico, Darren and Michael. Dr. Atlee is a longtime martial artist and Crossfitter.
